EDIT 3 – Downgrade: “Weak image transfer signal” after latest DJI GO App IOS 2.8.2

by 9to5dji

EDIT 3: If yuo do NOT have a jailbrken iDevice, you can follow the guide here to downgrade – http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/12/25/how-to-download-older-versions-of-ios-apps/ – You will need a PC/Mac and iTunes to do it.

EDIT 2: Users in the US are also reporting this issue but are saying that changing channels works fine. CE users are unable to change channels by default. Set your iDevice’s location to be the US and you can change it by setting the channel to “Custom” 🙂 – Looks like DJI have fcensoredked something up in this release..

EDIT 1: It is starting to look like this issue might just be affecting CE users ( Users within the European Economic Area (EEA) ). This is not confirmed just speculative due to the regions users reporting the issue are from.

Some people over at the DJI forums and other outlets are reporting that since the latest GOApp update for IOS ( 2.8.2 ) they are having really bad issue with video downlink. Craft control seems OK but the live video transmission if breaking up and in some cases just giving a black screen although the HD Downlink signal seems good.

I have not experienced the issue on my iPhone but am yet to update my primary device ( iPad Mini 3 ) with the latest release. If you have not yet updated, maybe it’s a good thing to wait and see what happens. That’s unless the Facebook Live Streaming feature is something you just CANNOT wait to use 🙂 – It could just be an isolates problem, or maybe not 🙂

Keep track of the issue here – http://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=53637
