Osmo+

by 9to5dji

Whilst I was on Holiday ( France and Belgium, Brugge is a stunning place ), DJI announced what was expected, an Osmo with the Z3 camera attached.  This was not the device that people want as it is still the same Osmo handle with just a new camera.

It is still expected for DJI to announce a completely new device ( Osmo Mobile ). This could be duting the IFA in Berlin this Thursday or most likely at Photokina in Cologne the end of September.

The Osmo+ is still a good device even though it’s not what people are expecting. Some of the features I touted for a new device is in this one ( motion timelapse )

Is it worth selling my standard OSMO to get the + if I can get a good price for my old OSMO?

I am considering doing it. I assume it must be better in every way, right? I like the fact that it can focus closer up as well for selfie mode.

Have you managed to come accross any test footage taken with the OSMO+?

Thanks!

If you want the zoom function then its a god upgrade.. Everything else is just candy in my opinion ( although the Activetrack is good ).

In my opinion, with how good smartphones are these days, the Osmo Mobile is a good option.

Does the + have activetrack? Wasn’t aware of that! OSMO mobile looks great, I wouldn’t mind one in addition to the OSMO(+), but not replacing it!

I also managed to find out the + uses a slightly larger capacity battery, and they will be interchangeable with the old OSMO batteries.

Thanks for your advice 🙂
