DJI ( well its reps/support ) have hinted towards some of the features likely to be added into future firmware releases. They also gave some other info and clues. Here is the run-down.
1: Auto-Panning in Timelapse Mode – No confirmation that it will come but they think its “a good idea”. I’m thinking that this will arrive inn the App/Firmware as it’s a no-brainer given the fact that the Osmo has a rotating gimbal. Surprised it was not there from day 1.
2: Saving full resolution image after taking panorama – Apparently sue to processing power ( in the Osmo I assume ) this will likely never appear as a feature.
3: Quick adjust roll – “Good idea” apparently.. maybe we will see it.
4: D-Log, Customizable WB and Sharpness Control – These are coming in the future updates.
5: Inverted Joystick Control – This is confirmed as coming..
Also, the discrepancy between IOS and Android features will also be sorted. A rep confirmed that the “Timelapse output format”m will be added in the next Android release. No news on “Camera > Video > Video Caption” and “Camera > General > Over Exposure Warning” being added any time soon.
Like all information that surrounds DJI, its worth taking it with a pinch of salt and don’t get your hopes up to high or expect them tomorrow 🙂
