DJI Teases with new March 1st Video

by 9to5dji

DJI are feeling a little nice and have treated us all to a little sneak peek as to what we should expect on March 1st. The 1 minute video is slick but does give away some details. The name gives clues towards the Phantom 4 having more sensing abilities that the P3, leaked photos seem to point towards this being the case.

EDIT 26-02-16: Seen at 43 seconds, the below enhanced image shows the left rear of the Phantom 4. You can clearly se the battery grip and the fact thr battery is much wider than that of the P3.You can also see the front left and rear left arms. Also I think a motor is just visible in the enhanced image also..

The vents ( seen at  25 seconds into the clip ) in the arms seen in previous leaked images are seen. Looks like  have metal mesh in them. Also looking at them in the video, looks very much like sensors could be underneath.

The lights on the battery pack indicates the wider battery that we saw in leaked images to be correct.

The “VPS” camera ( seen at  38 seconds into the clip ) on the bottom of the aircraft is the same as in the leaked images the more I look at this now the more it looks like it could be the sensors in the top of the legs at the front of the aircraft. Looks more like a camera ( possibly for tracking objects? ).

The “VPS” ( seen at  37 seconds into the clip )module is shown and from here you can see that the underbelly looks like its carbon fiber or maybe just a pattern to the aluminium.

The tall motors ( seen at  38 seconds into the clip )seen in the leaked image look very much the same as in the video. Does this mean more power and hence efficiency leading to more flight time?

Another image ( seen at  41 seconds into the clip ) in the video seems to show the front of the “Phantom 4” where you can almost see the shape of the sensors at the top of the legs..

This image is puzzling me.. I think it might well be an image of inside the aircraft. EDIT: This ( seen at  34 seconds into the clip ) seems to be either the power button or the “press grip” used to remove the battery.
