Just bumping this for any new visitors..
DJI have today released firmware version 1.1.301 for the Phantom 4 upon the unsuspecting drone world. The DJI GO App has also been updated to version 2.7.2 although at time of writing this version has not appeared for IOS only Android ( but I am sure it will soon ).
The update is for both the aircraft and the RC so remember to do both ( Aircraft first THEN additional batteries THEN the RC ).
You MUST be using GO App version 2.7.2 if using Android. IOS users are OK with version 2.7.1.
Below is a guide on the update process using the GO App. For reference, the update was done using an iPad Mini 3 running IOS 9.2. Android update is the same process. It was also done for a previous firmware version.
Some have reported a no signal error after updating. The fix for this is to remove and reinstall the GO App.
1: Improved encryption to enhance security during transmission.
2: Optimized take-off logic for the aircraft when the compass experiences interference.
3: Corrected system status information for some batteries.
4: Increased downloading speed for photos and videos.
