DJI Inspire 2 Teaser – Closer Look

DJI Inspire 2

So, DJI released a teaser video for the Inspire 2.. Can we garner any info form it? Let’s have a look.

DJI did a better job of making their teaser video as cryptic as possible in terms of seeing the product this time so we have very little to go by.

1: The first glimpse we get of the Inspire seems to be its carbon fiber arms with the title “Every picture tells a story”. It’s hard to tell what carbon fibre tube it is ( or even if it is carbon fibre, maybe it’s another material ) but it is clear in this videos, this is an Inspire.
Inspire 1 Teaser - Arms2: The second glimpse we get is more interesting. With the caption “Every story is an experience” we see what looks like a small camera. This I believe will be one of two forward optical cameras used for object avoidance. The cameras will be on a mounting near the front nose but separated a little wider than the body itself.

You can see the little sensors in the following leaked image. Look at the front of the Inspire.

Here is the Inspire 2 from the other side. Not a great image but you can make out the little OA camera on this too. Some have speculated that this is mearly the vibration dampener but I dont think so. It closely matches the image in the teaser video upon inspection.

3: The third glimpse is of one of its rather big motors with light shining through it.

There is a couple other glimpses but nothing can be made out of them. The Video finishes with the date of the announcement – November 15th  -The time is 10:30AM PST ( 18:30PM UK Time ).

Things I predict the Inspire 2 will have;
Optical Avoidance ( all round )
Faster
Better Battery Life
Same Tech as mavic and P4 ( dual compass/GPS/IMU )
New version of the X5 and support for legacy versions
OcuSync and DJI Goggles Support
New Controller

Sorry to disappoint you, but that part about forward sensor isn’t accurate. The part that u zoomed in is just the vibration reduction mounting board for x3/5/5r cameras.
